SoundTek® Lite is a lightweight nonwoven sound-insulation material developed by FNM "Wes Mir," a Russian manufacturer specializing in high-performance acoustic and thermal nonwovens. The product is engineered specifically for plate silencers in HVAC and ventilation networks, where it attenuates aerodynamic noise produced by fans, air conditioners, heating units, and air distribution devices, as well as structure-borne sound traveling along duct runs.
Its defining feature is a vertical-fiber architecture: 100% PES (polyester) fibers are oriented perpendicular to the sheet surface, forming an open three-dimensional lattice that creates ample internal space for sound-wave dissipation. This construction delivers effective absorption across a broad frequency range of 250–6500 Hz, with an absorption coefficient reaching up to 1.0.
The material is rated for continuous operation between −60 °C and +110 °C and has a thermal conductivity of 0.0467 W/m·K, providing a combined thermal and acoustic barrier. SoundTek® Lite is hydrophobic, antistatic, and chemically inert — resisting moisture uptake, dust accumulation, and corrosion over the system lifetime.
It contains no toxic components and is hypoallergenic, requiring no personal protective equipment during installation. The product is recommended by the Research Institute of Building Physics NIISF RAASN and holds Certificate of Conformity No.
