Values of errors correspond to: instrument operation errors at air temperature from +15 to +35°C at relative humidity not more than 80% (without taking into account additional error of electrode cells geometry) after preliminary warming up in switched-on state not less than 5 min.

Accuracy of measurement of resistivity (RS): Not more than ±2% of the measured value plus 1 ml. unit (0.1 Ohm*m)

Duration of soil RS analysis: Not more than 10 sec.

Description

Soil activity analysers are designed for qualitative and quantitative assessment of soil corrosion aggressiveness to steel in places of laying underground structures, in particular steel pipelines, in accordance with GOST 9.602-2005 "Underground structures and general requirements for protection against corrosion". They measure soil moisture and soil ph.

The device determines the soil resistivity and average current density for cathodic protection of carbon and low-alloy steel based on the analysis of soil samples placed in electrode cells. In addition, the value of protective potential (corrosion potential) of soil samples is determined.

The instrument has a wide measuring range. The measurement procedures for analysing soil samples are performed automatically.

Soil activity analyser AKAG® is made according to TU 4081-037-12719185-2013.
