The Buran-3 cutter-rotor snowplough is designed for clearing roads from freshly fallen and accumulated snow, removing snow banks formed during the work of bulldozers and plough snowploughs, as well as providing passage on snow heath. "Buran-3" provides clearing of roads from snow drifts after heavy snowfalls. The snowplough has a horizontal belt-type cutter as a cutting organ, and a rotor as a throwing organ.
The belt-type cutter has a low resistance to the passage of snow to the rotor. The advantage of the Buran-3 snowplough is increased productivity and economy. The cutter destroys and crushes snow and ice deposits and feeds them into the hole in the centre of the body.
Through the hole, the crushed snow mass falls on the rotor blades, which, acting on the principle of a centrifugal pump, ejects it through the guide chute at a distance of up to 20 metres.
