The smart assistant for the blind "Robin" is a new assistive device that helps blind people to better navigate in space. "Robin" is able to recognise objects - up to 50 units, calculate the distance to them, identify obstacles and people's faces.
Recognition results are transmitted to the user through headphones connected to the device. "Robin" warns of obstacles with vibration signals.
The smart assistant "Robin" was developed by Sensor-Tech Laboratory as a complementary device to a conventional white cane.
