The principle of operation of transformers is based on conversion by means of electromagnetic induction of alternating current of one voltage into alternating current of another voltage at constant frequency and without significant power losses.
The design of transformers consists of the active part (winding, magnetic conductor) and metal structures. They are manufactured with one secondary winding.
Transformers of NOS-0,5, NOS-3, NOS-6 types are single-phase. Transformer type NTS-0,5 - three-phase.
