The Single Hollow Face Brick in Ivory Colour (М 150) is a premium ceramic facing brick manufactured by Norsky Ceramic Plant OJSC (NKZ) in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. Founded on 1 July 1977, NKZ was the first fully automated ceramic brick plant in the country, built around imported equipment from Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Today the plant operates three independent production lines, delivering over 100 million standard brick equivalents annually and having supplied more than 3 billion bricks to construction sites from Arkhangelsk to Sochi across its nearly five decades in business.
Measuring 250×120×65 mm in the standard single format and weighing 2.2 kg, this face brick features a hollow core with a void ratio of 32–40%, which lowers in-masonry thermal conductivity to 0.31 W/(m·°C) while keeping unit weight down. Compressive strength is grade M150 (≥15 MPa) and frost resistance is F50 (50 freeze-thaw cycles under МР3 conditions), suiting it well to Russia's continental climate.
Water absorption is 12%, and the specific activity of natural radionuclides is 126.0 Bq/kg — firmly within the Class I threshold of 370 Bq/kg — confirming ecological safety for residential use. Factory-chamfered edges deliver clean, uniform mortar joints without additional on-site treatment.
All NKZ facing bricks carry conformity certification under GOST R / Gosstandart Russia and Mosstroysertifikatsiya; the plant has operated an ISO 9001 quality management system since 2001.
