Self-supporting non-metallic optical communication cable is used for suspension on the supports of communication lines, contact network of railways, supports of power transmission lines in the interphase space or below the phase wires, between buildings and structures, in the points with the maximum value of electric field potential up to 12 kV.
The optical cable contains a dielectric power element and an outer web of optical modules. The total number of modules is up to 24. Each optical module has up to 24 optical fibres (OF). Optical modules can be replaced by corded fillers. The total number of fibres in the cable is up to 288. The intramodule and intermodule space is filled with hydrophobic compound or other water blocking material along the entire length. The core is bound by a winding of yarns or tapes. The core is overlaid with a wrap of aramid yarns and an outer sheath of polyethylene or polymer compound that does not propagate combustion in group or single laying.
