The ISKRA-27 is a floor-standing self-service terminal presented by SKB VT "ISKRA" as one of the company's newest in-house developments. The manufacturer traces its history back to the Soviet-era State Union Design and Technology Bureau for Calculating Machines (GSKTB) — the only enterprise in the USSR dedicated to computing and cash-register technology for the national economy, which later became the lead organization of the Ministry of Instrument Making for the industry's development strategy.
Building on that engineering heritage, the company today produces fiscal cash registers, all-in-one computers, automated deposit machines and self-service kiosks. The ISKRA-27 is built around a large 27-inch IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, covered by a vandal-resistant capacitive touchscreen with 4.4 mm protective glass — a configuration suited to unattended operation in public spaces.
Inside, the terminal uses a standard mini-ITX motherboard with a processor running at 2.0 GHz or higher, SO-DIMM DDR4 memory expandable up to 16 GB and an SSD drive, giving fast, silent and shock-tolerant storage. The platform runs either Windows or Linux, letting integrators deploy their own kiosk software stack.
A version of the terminal with an integrated payment function is also offered, so the same hardware family can cover both informational and transactional self-service scenarios.
