The 31VC2-F is a self-regulating electric heating tape for industrial use, built with two conductor cores and fluoropolymer insulation and sheath layers. Self-regulating chemistry is the technology's core advantage: the conductive polymer matrix between the cores increases heat output where the pipe is cold and throttles back where it is warm, so the tape manages its own temperature along its entire length without thermostats segment by segment — and can be cut to length on site without engineering recalculation.
The fluoropolymer insulation and outer sheath distinguish this model from commodity polyolefin tapes: fluoropolymers withstand elevated temperatures and aggressive chemical exposure, qualifying the tape for process lines, chemical plants and locations where ordinary jackets degrade. Heat tracing of this class protects pipelines, valves, tanks and instrumentation from freezing and maintains process temperatures in chemical, oil and gas, food and water infrastructure.
For electrical wholesalers and heat-tracing contractors, self-regulating tape is sold by the meter in project quantities. Offered at a minimum order of 200 units from $9.00, the 31VC2-F targets industrial supply distributors and EPC contractors specifying freeze protection and process heating across cold-climate and process-industry markets.
