Crushed sandstone gravel of the 40-70 mm fraction is a coarse aggregate produced by CONTINENT LLC (Kontinent Group) at its own quarry in Stavropol Krai, southern Russia. Sandstone is a dense sedimentary rock formed over thousands of years from naturally cemented sand grains — a material whose durability is famously demonstrated by the Egyptian pyramids.
Crushed at the quarry on modern crushing and screening lines, this aggregate carries a crushability grade of M400 and a bulk density of 1.28 t/m³. The 40-70 mm fraction is in steady demand in road building and general construction, and it also serves concrete production: on its own it suits lower concrete grades, while blending it with gravel-based crushed stone allows higher grades to be reached.
CONTINENT LLC has been developing its deposit since 2021 and within its first year of operation the quarry entered the top tier in Stavropol Krai, with output of up to 200,000 tonnes per year. The company supplies crushed stone of all popular fractions, crushed-stone-and-sand mixes and sand directly from the quarry, guaranteeing the declared weight and material category, and works with both major infrastructure developers and smaller buyers with a minimum order of 5 tonnes.
