Round coniferous timber comprises debarked logs of pine, spruce and other softwoods supplied for construction purposes: log house building, pole structures, piling, fencing, landscaping and general site works. Russia holds the world's largest softwood reserves, and slow northern growth produces dense, straight-grained logs valued in markets across Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa where domestic forest resources are scarce.
Round timber is the least processed and therefore most economical wood format, leaving buyers free to saw, treat or use logs whole according to local practice. Supply at about 30 USD per unit of volume with a 50-unit minimum order positions the product for timber importers, construction material traders, log home builders and infrastructure contractors.
Specifications — species mix, diameters, lengths and moisture — are agreed per contract, as is standard in roundwood trade.
