Rotary harrows are designed for pre-emergence and post-emergence continuous and inter-row harrowing of field crops. They are used for surface loosening, moisture conservation and soil aeration, incorporation of crop residues into the soil, complete destruction of thread-like weed shoots. Timely application of the harrow allows to refuse from herbicides of continuous action and nitrogen mineral fertilisers. The harrow is particularly effective in regions where there is a lack of moisture.
The harrow consists of sections fixed to the frame in the form of rocker arms. On one arm there are two toothed wheels. The balance suspension of the levers ensures that the working wheels copy the soil relief and the lever spring ensures uniform pressure on the soil. When the harrow is in motion, the toothed wheels rotate and effectively and evenly loosen the soil. No more than 1 % of cultivated plants are damaged. The surface crust is broken and the topsoil mulched. The fertile soil layer is enriched with nitrogen, sod....
