It is used as a support that determines the position of moving parts in relation to other parts of the mechanism, operating on the principle of rolling friction. It consists of outer and inner rings, balls and a solid cage. It has considerable high speed, is capable of supporting radial loads as well as axial loads up to 70 per cent of the unused permissible radial load in one direction.
