Autonomous device LBS-Mayak serves for remote control of the location of the protected object in which it is located. Since the device does not have a module for determining the exact coordinates by GPS/GLONASS satellites, the coordinates are determined by Multi-LBS technology. This positioning technology uses geodata about the location of cellular operators' base stations, signal strength from them and their mutual location. Server processing of this data allows to establish the approximate location of the device with an accuracy of up to 200 metres. The data is transmitted via GSM module built into the device to the selected monitoring server via GPRS channel with adjustable frequency. The device works in energy-saving mode, only briefly going out for communication, so the autonomous operation period on two ordinary AA "finger" batteries can be more than 3 years.
