Article 7314 "Percale" is a raw cotton technical fabric produced by Tkach Weaving Factory (Saint Petersburg) under TU 17 РСФСР 63-11201-86. Percale is the finest grade of cotton fabric, woven in a plain weave from single high-count yarn (No.
133 / 7.5 Tex) of long-staple cotton. The factory, established in 1999 on the base of the historic Rabochiy mill, claims to be the only Russian producer capable of weaving from such fine combed yarn, achieving a thread density of over 420 threads/dm in both warp and weft directions.
Article 7314 is supplied in two finishing states — raw/greige (суровый) and desized/scoured (расшлихтованный) — and in two widths: approximately 90 cm and 110 cm. Surface density is 72 g/m² for the greige and 65 g/m² for the desized version.
The desized variant has a controlled air permeability of 300–800 mm/s at 49 Pa pressure differential, making it suitable for precision gas-containment and filtering applications. Despite its extremely low areal weight, the fabric delivers a breaking load of 235–245 kgf along the warp and 235 kgf along the weft in a 50×200 mm test strip.
Monthly output of the factory exceeds 100,000 meters, and products carry conformity acts from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as a conclusion from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
