Radial screw conveyor type ??? is designed for final unloading of grain residues, which are left at the bottom of flat-bottom silo. The screw tube is made of a C-shaped metal sheet, inside of which there is a screw mounted on bearings.
The screw is driven by a gearmotor. The gearmotor is attached to the head of the conveyor, which is mounted on the axis of the silo. At the other end of the conveyor is a running gear, which enables the worm to circulate around a turntable located at the centre of the discharge, which is also the centre of the silo floor.
The circulation conveyor collects the grain from the floor surface and discharges it into the centre discharge. If a large amount of grain accumulates in front of the conveyor, a friction clutch mounted near the wheel will engage and the chassis will stop until the snail picks up the excess grain. The performance of the radial screw conveyor depends on the type of material selected, its discharge angle and bulk density.
