ПРОЧНИНЪ sol-silicate paint is a premium-grade mineral coating for facades and interiors, manufactured by Fridlender Paints (ООО «Краски Фридлендеръ»), a St. Petersburg producer with roots tracing back to 1899.
The product won first prize at the 2019 «Innovations in Construction» competition in the «Materials for exterior finishing and equipping of buildings and structures» category — recognition of its genuinely advanced chemistry.
The formula is built on liquid potassium glass reinforced with silica sol. This combination bridges two worlds: it bonds to mineral substrates (lime, lime-cement, and cement-sand plasters, brick, concrete) the way traditional silicate paints do, yet it also adheres to organic bases — including surfaces previously coated with acrylic or silicone paints — a capability conventional silicate coatings lack.
Organic compounds are capped at 2%, making the product essentially non-toxic with negligible VOC output.
The cured film does not form a polymer membrane; instead it mineralises into the substrate. The result is exceptional vapor permeability (Sd < 0.002 m; V > 12,000 g/m²·day), Class 1 hiding power, and Class 1 wet-scrub resistance per DIN 13300.
Density is 1.5–1.7 g/cm³, pH ≈ 11, solids 45–55%. Fire-hazard classes KM0 and KM1 are both available.
The paint is approved for architectural monuments, kindergartens, hospitals, and any project where long-term durability, breathability, and low environmental impact are priorities.
