Preterminated trunking assembly is a segment of fibre optic cable terminated with connectors in an industrial environment. Factory assembly and testing ensures performance that cannot be achieved with field termination. Trunk assemblies are used for laying data centre trunk lines and high-density SCS, connecting subscribers of FTTx networks, as well as for testing fibre optic lines. When laying the assembly connectors are equipped with special protection. Pulling in cable ducts is carried out with the help of special loops (koosh).
The assemblies use indoor or outdoor cables. Light guide bundles of 4, 6, 8 or 12 fibres are led into separate cable tubes with individual outer sheathing. The connection between the main cable and the tube bundle is sealed with a coupling. In outdoor assemblies made of loose tube cables, individual transition couplings are used for each fibre. .
