The power input unit PEM-H3 is a product of the optical transport platform "GORIZONT". GORIZONT equipment is used in the unified telecommunication network of the Russian Federation as a receiving and transmitting device for digital fibre-optic transmission lines.
GORIZONT equipment supports the technology of dense spectral channel densification (DWDM) and protocols of optical transport networks OTN. The PEM-H3 power input unit distributes the external supply voltage to the plug-in units of the HORIZONT platform installed in K4-H8 or K10-H8 racks.
It has inbuilt protection against primary voltage surges, monitors external voltage and current consumption. One crate accommodates two power input units, which operate simultaneously in the redundancy mode 1+1.
