The Ferrous Metal PCM 2060 is a gantry-type CNC plasma cutting machine built by FERROUS METAL ENGINEERING LLC for straight and contour cutting of sheet metal in industrial production environments. Cutting programs are prepared in advance and executed through a terminal-type CNC console running the Pumotix control system, with SheetCAM CAD/CAM software supplied as part of the package.
The machine handles sheets up to 2000 x 6000 mm on a working field of 5920 x 1990 x 160 mm and delivers Class 1 cut accuracy, taper and surface roughness per GOST 14792-90. It carries two torch supports — one plasma and one oxy-fuel — and is rated for continuous S1 (100%) duty per GOST 183-74.
Rapid traverse reaches 60,000 mm/min, driven by 750 W servo motors with gearboxes and a rack-and-rail drive on precision guide rails. Torch height is managed automatically: sensors find the initial pierce height, and arc-voltage feedback keeps the standoff constant during the cut, with a professional electromechanical torch lifter built around a PL57H76 stepper motor with an integrated zero-position sensor.
A sectional downdraft table removes cutting by-products, and the complete machine weighs around 5,000 kg while requiring only one operator. The manufacturer backs the machine with a 24-month warranty and includes installation and commissioning in the delivery.
