The device belongs to vertebrology and is intended for treatment of spinal diseases by surgical intervention. It is installed on the root of the arch. The pedicle hook contains an intravertebral blade and an extravertebral chamber-like part rigidly connected to each other.
The extravertebral chamber-shaped part is made U-shaped, with U-shaped ends, as part of the walls forming the inner volume of the extravertebral chamber-shaped part, passing from the side of the inner volume into a bed of rounded shape. The intravertebral blade has a U-shaped configuration. It is characterised by the presence of two branches and a curved link connecting them, with a notch at the end of one of the branches forming the intravertebral blade.
The blade is made with an offset thereof, which is characteristic of a laminar hook with an offset blade. In addition, the intravertebral blade is made with an inclination of 15 to 18 degrees in an orthogonal direction with respect to a plane passing through the centre of the rounded bed parallel to the planes of the extravertebral chamber walls. As a result, the achievement of the maximum possible correction of spinal deformity in the surgical treatment of gross deformities of the thoracic spine is ensured.
