Pasteurisation baths are designed for pasteurisation of milk, preparation of sour-milk products and production starter. They are used at the enterprises of dairy industry. The bath consists of an inner stainless steel bath, enclosed in a casing and an outer lining. Under the inner bath there is a steam distributing head, to which steam is supplied through a pipeline. A water drainage pipe is led downwards from the inter-wall space. Cooling is carried out by means of a coil coiled on the inner flask. A valve and a cold water supply pipe are connected to it. Overflow pipes are used to maintain a constant water level in the inter-wall space.
The product is stirred by a stirrer rotated by a gearmotor. Control of product and water temperatures in the inter-wall space is carried out with the help of thermometers.
