The FT-SFP+-WDM-LR-10-B-D is an optical transceiver in the SFP+ form factor, transmitting 10 Gbps over a single fiber using WDM technology. Single-fiber bidirectional operation is its key economic argument: by sending and receiving on different wavelengths over one strand, it halves the fiber count a link consumes - a direct cost saving for operators leasing dark fiber or working with limited cable capacity.
The module supports a working distance of up to 10 km with an LC connector and operates across an industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 C, qualifying it for outdoor cabinets, roadside enclosures and unheated technical rooms, not just climate-controlled data centers. As a B-type unit it pairs with the complementary D-wavelength module on the far end.
The transceiver targets telecom integrators, ISPs and network equipment distributors. Minimum order is 20 units at around 90 USD each.
