The NR-QSFP-100G-CWDM4-LC2 optical transceiver is designed for use in 100-Gigabit Ethernet links up to 2 km over single-mode fibre (SMF). It is compatible with the QSFP28 MSA, CWDM4 MSA and relevant parts of IEEE 802.3bm.
Digital diagnostic functions are available via the I2C interface as specified in the QSFP28 MSA. It converts 4 input channels of 25.78125 Gbps electrical data into 4 channels of CWDM optical signals, and then multiplexes them into a single channel for 103.125 Gbps optical transmission.
On the receiver side, conversely, the module demultiplexes the 103.125 Gbps optical input into 4 channels of CWDM optical signals, and then converts them into 4 electrical data output channels. The centre wavelengths of the 4 CWDM channels are 1271 nm, 1291 nm, 1311 nm and 1331 nm as elements of the CWDM wavelength grid defined in the CWDM4 MSA.
