Optical cable contains a central power element and an outer web of optical modules. The total number of modules is up to 24. Each optical module has up to 36 optical fibres (OF). Optical modules can be replaced by corded fillers.
The total number of single-mode or multimode fibres in the cable is up to 288. Intramodule and intermodule space is filled with hydrophobic compound or other water-blocking material along the entire length. The povivot of optical modules and cordel fillers is fixed by winding of glass fibres, textile or polymer threads or tapes, over which an aluminopolyethylene tape can be applied. An inner sheath made of polyethylene or polymer compound is applied over the core.
Armour made of corrugated steel laminated tape is applied on top of the sheath. On top of the armour there is a polymer sheath made of polyethylene or polymer compound not spreading combustion in group or single laying
