GRINLOS (IEO LLC) manufactures open-type polypropylene fish farming pools for year-round aquaculture production in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). The pools are fabricated from primary polypropylene using monolithic sheets 6 or 8 mm thick, resulting in a sturdy, food-safe structure that is chemically neutral and completely odour-free.
The product range covers volumes from 1.2 m³ to 6.3 m³ across twenty standard configurations, with footprints from 1500×1500 mm up to 2400×2400 mm and heights from 750 to 1500 mm. The cylindrical, open-top design gives direct access for feeding, observation, and harvest while integrating readily with RAS components such as aeration systems, biofilters, recirculating pumps, and automatic feeders.
Polypropylene's low thermal conductivity means the water retains heat more efficiently than metal or concrete, reducing electricity consumption for immersion heaters. The smooth, non-porous inner surface resists fouling and is fully compatible with high-pressure washer cleaning between production cycles.
The material is completely corrosion-resistant — no painting, coating, or anti-corrosion maintenance is ever required. Each pool is delivered ready to install, complete with a full set of operating documentation.
GRINLOS also produces custom shapes — octagonal, oval, extra-tall cylindrical, and other configurations — for clients with specific technical requirements, and can organise on-site fabrication when tank size makes transport impractical.
