The UPS is built according to the on-line* system (rectifier/inverter system with by-pass static and manual).This method of operation guarantees full protection of sensitive loads critical to any kind of disturbances in the power supply network and provides continuous supply of the load with AC power of high quality with regulated stable voltage.
The UPS consists of:
- a circuit breaker that provides a disconnect between the rectifier and the main power supply line (main input). If the rectifier fails, the circuit breaker disconnects it from the input voltage;
- a thyristor rectifier bridge that converts the input three-phase current into direct current;
- an inverter that converts the DC current into high quality three-phase current to supply the load;
- an external rechargeable battery (hereinafter referred to as "AB") that provides power to the inverter when the main power supply line is not energised;
