The TEDIX-V2 on-board telecommunication terminal (OBU) is installed on vehicles and is designed to function as part of a data transmission network using the V2X (IEEE 802.11p) standard between vehicles, road infrastructure elements and intelligent transport system.
The terminal provides the following functions:
- reception / transmission of radio signals in the V2X network using the DSRC standard (IEEE 802.11p)
- receiving signals from GLONASS and/or GPS satellites and determining the geographical coordinates of the object
- interaction with wireless devices using Bluetooth or WiFi technology to organise a human-machine interface for displaying graphic and textual information to the driver of the vehicle
- interaction with the on-board network of the vehicle via CAN interface
- interaction with external devices via RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces
- interaction with a personal computer via microUSB interface when performing terminal configuration tasks
