The OMEGA 1 (article HS-OMG1) is a class A descender device for fall protection and evacuation, supplied with strap lengths from 10 to 200 meters to match the building or structure it protects. The device lets a person descend at a controlled speed from height to safety — independently or assisted by another person — which is its life-safety role: when fire, accident or structural emergency blocks normal egress from towers, high floors or industrial structures, the descender is the way down.
The 10–200 m length range covers everything from low industrial platforms to high-rise buildings, specified at order. Devices of this class are mandated equipment on many industrial sites, cranes, masts and high-occupancy buildings, purchased by safety departments rather than individuals.
