Vinyl leatherette TR is a non-flammable, foam-coated upholstery material produced by ISKOZH OJSC, one of Russia's established manufacturers of PVC-coated fabrics and artificial leathers. The material has a porous-monolithic structure: an expanded PVC layer on a textile backing is sealed under a monolithic face film, giving seats a soft, padded feel with a hard-wearing surface.
This grade is engineered specifically for passenger transport, where fire safety is a hard requirement: its flame spread index does not exceed 20 conventional units. The fabric weighs 580±60 g/m², comes in rolls 142±2 cm wide, withstands frost down to -45 °C and offers lightfastness of at least 4 points, so colors hold up under prolonged daylight exposure.
The manufacturer states it is intended for upholstering sofas, sleeping berths and armchairs in railway cars, as well as seats in metro trains, road vehicles and agricultural machinery. ISKOZH runs its own PVC-coating lines, a textile mill and an in-house testing laboratory, and offers its artificial leathers in more than 1,100 color shades with over 130 embossing patterns, so the upholstery can be matched to a specific interior scheme.
For fleet operators and rolling-stock builders this combination of fire performance, cold resistance and customization makes it a practical alternative to standard upholstery vinyls.
