GERSILAST 137-83 is a neutral, single-component silicone adhesive-sealant manufactured by GNIIKhTEOS OJSC (eos.su) — Russia's state scientific research institute for organosilicon chemistry and technology, with decades of expertise in silicone compound development. The product cures at room temperature through contact with atmospheric moisture, cross-linking into a flexible, rubber-like elastomer without releasing acetic acid or other corrosive by-products.
Conforming to ТУ 2252-164-00209013-2016, it delivers a tensile strength exceeding 2 MPa and elongation at break over 200%, ensuring the cured joint can flex without cracking under thermal cycling or mechanical stress. The operating temperature range of −60 °C to +250 °C covers everything from arctic outdoor installations to exhaust-side industrial equipment.
Thermal conductivity of 0.6 W/(m·K) adds value in heat-transfer applications. Electrical insulation properties are strong: volume resistivity above 10¹³ Ω·cm, dielectric strength above 18 kV/mm, and dielectric constant below 4.3 at 1 MHz — making it suitable for potting electronic assemblies and encapsulating solder joints.
The sealant adheres without primers to steel, aluminum, silicate glass, ceramics, and most rubbers, forming durable bonds even on difficult-to-wet substrates. Dynamic viscosity of 200–400 Pa·s at 20 °C gives it a thick paste consistency that stays in place on vertical or overhead surfaces during application.
