The principle of the complex is based on the use of electromechanical actuators for rehabilitation of patients with partial or complete impairment of locomotor function of the lower limbs. The exoskeleton of the complex allows for autonomous physiological movement and simulation of natural walking, synchronised and regulated in accordance with the movement of the treadmill.
Rehabilitation using this complex increases walking speed (for patients with partial impairments), reduces spasticity, increases sensitivity and muscle mass of the lower limbs, restores neuromuscular communication and reduces neuropathic pain. The use of functional electrical stimulation is necessary to more effectively restore the lost walking pattern, by stimulating the muscles in the phase of their natural activation during walking.
