DS Proxima is a purpose-built hardware network load balancer engineered by OJSC R&D Enterprise Digital Solutions (АО «НПП «Цифровые решения»), a Moscow-based manufacturer of telecommunications equipment with operations since 2003. Designed for high-throughput, high-availability environments, it delivers 1.1 Tbit/s of aggregate throughput through dedicated hardware processing — entirely bypassing CPU bottlenecks — across eight 40/100 Gbps and thirty-two 10 Gbps interfaces.
Traffic is distributed at Layer 4 while application-layer (L7) health checks continuously monitor the state of every node in the cluster, enabling intelligent, session-aware balancing for application servers, NGFW appliances, WAF systems, and other security tools. DS Proxima supports symmetric bidirectional session tracking, critical for stateful security devices that must inspect both halves of a flow.
The appliance qualifies as a trusted hardware–software complex (PAK) under Russian regulatory standards and is listed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Russian Industrial Products Register (registry No. 10685351).
Its embedded software holds registration No. 23954 in the Ministry of Digital Development's Russian Software Register.
Failover is provided through dual hot-swap power supplies (220 V AC or 48 V DC), N+1 redundant fan modules, and protocol-level high availability via VRRP, MC-LAG, and LACP. Routing integration covers OSPF, BGP, VRF, and static routing, with VLAN (802.1Q) and Jumbo Frame support up to 10,000 bytes.
The unit ships in a 1U rack form factor (555 × 483 × 44 mm).
