The complexes consist of optical-radar multipurpose meters "ORAKUL-Compact" (hereinafter referred to as IM), software (hereinafter referred to as software) and mounting and operating equipment providing mounting, power supply, IM pointing at the control zone, additional protection, illumination at night and communication with external devices.
The principle of operation of the IM complex is based on:
-measurement of vehicle speed in the control zone by the frequency difference between the radar signal emitted by the IM and the signal reflected from moving objects (Doppler effect);
-measurement of the vehicle location in the control zone using the phase radar method with measurement of the distance from the IM to the vehicle and angles of the vehicle relative to the IM axis of the complex;
-measurement of the speed of the vehicle in the controlled area by the difference between the time of photofixation of the vehicle in one and another control zone and the distance travelled by the vehicle from the moment of the first photofixation to the moment of the second photofixation.
