A pulse amplifying klystron is an electrovacuum device in which the conversion of a constant flow of electrons into an alternating one takes place by modulation of electron velocities by the microwave electric field (as they pass through the gap of the volume resonator) and subsequent grouping of electrons into clots (due to the difference in their velocities) in the drift space free of the microwave field. Field of application: sterilisation complexes (disinfection of foodstuffs, sterilisation of medical devices, clothes, pharmaceuticals, radiation purification of natural and waste water), complexes of radiation effect on EKB products (increase of semiconductor parameters, analysis of EKB operation for resistance to radiation).
