The Manaraga 60 Backpack Rain Cover (size M) is a lightweight protective shell designed to keep a 60-litre trekking backpack dry and clean in rain, mud and snow. It is produced under the Manaraga brand, a Russian manufacturer of equipment for hiking, mountaineering, climbing and active outdoor recreation, whose range also includes backpacks, bags, covers, carabiners, catamaran frames and bouldering mats made at its own sewing facilities.
The cover is cut from Taffeta fabric with a PU 5000 polyurethane coating, giving a high level of water resistance, and its seamless construction leaves no stitching lines through which moisture could seep into the pack. An elastic drawcord with a cord-lock fixator pulls the cover tight around the backpack so it stays in place in wind and while moving through brush.
At only 95 grams, it adds virtually no weight to the load and packs down small enough to live permanently in a side pocket. The model is part of a four-size line — S for 30–40 L, M for 60 L, L for 80–90 L and XL for 120 L packs — with the M version matched to standard 60-litre trekking and expedition backpacks.
Like all Manaraga-branded gear, the cover is field-tested by the company's own staff before being released into serial production.
