The model is designed for practising lumbar puncture skills. The model represents a patient lying on his side, knees brought to the abdomen, head bent to the chest, back arched.
At waist level, the mannequin is mobile, and when performing a lumbar puncture, the operator needs to keep the head on the knees in a flexed position to maximise the space between the vertebrae.
The model has a precise anatomical structure: 1 ~ 5 lumbar vertebrae (vertebral body, laminae, vertebral arches, spinous processes), sacrum, sacral angle, all ligaments, subarachnoid space, epidural space, spinal canal. Palpation of the posterior iliac spine, iliac crest, thoracic spine, lumbar spine is possible.
The model can be used to teach spinal anaesthesia, spinal puncture, epidural block, caudal sciatic nerve block, lumbar sympathetic block.
The skin is interchangeable.
