Low pressure heaters are designed for heating feed water in regeneration systems of stationary steam turbines of thermal power plants.
Device, principle of operation
Low-pressure heater is a shell-and-tube heat exchanger of vertical and horizontal type, the main units of which are: body, pipe system, water (distribution) chamber.
Assembly of units is carried out with the help of flange connection, providing the possibility of their preventive inspection and repair.
Description of the vertical heater:
The heater body consists of a cylindrical shell, an elliptical bottom and a flange for connection to the pipe system and the water (distribution) chamber.
The tube system consists of a tube board, a frame, U-shaped heat exchanger tubes, the ends of which are flared in the tube board.
The frame of the tube system is formed by: frame struts (channels and pipes), transverse partitions directing the steam flow and serving as intermediate ones.
