The fluorograph is designed to perform both screening and a number of X-ray diagnostic examinations in the patient's standing position, in the forward and lateral projections in inpatient settings of health care institutions to obtain high-quality images with the lowest dose loads on the patient. It is possible to obtain, in addition to chest images, high-quality images of the skull, cervical vertebrae, musculoskeletal system, limbs, diagnose scoliosis, conduct anthropometric studies.
Vertical (bottom-up) scanning direction allows to avoid additional distortions (artefacts) caused by the patient's movements and there is no need to hold your breath during the examination. Absence of dynamic "blurring" in the image field simplifies its analysis. Line-by-line scanning with short exposure allows to avoid registration of radiation scattered in the patient's body, actually displaying the actual structure of the organs under examination.
