KTtron-10 1K is a single-component elastic cementitious waterproofing compound manufactured by NPO KT LLC (KTtron plant), a Russian producer of an integrated range of repair and waterproofing mortars. The product is supplied as a dry mix of cement, mineral filler and modifying additives; mixed with water it forms a non-shrink slurry with high adhesion to the substrate that cures into a flexible, crack-bridging membrane.
The coating bridges cracks up to 1 mm, remains impermeable to liquids while staying vapour-permeable, and withstands sea water and chemically aggressive environments, including strong ammonium, magnesia, sulfate and alkaline media as well as light and dark petroleum products and mineral oil. It is approved for structures in contact with drinking water, making it suitable for potable-water reservoirs and pools.
The material is applied in layers up to 1.5 mm thick to a total membrane thickness of 2-4 mm, by brush, trowel or spray, manually or by machine, directly onto a damp substrate. Consumption is 1.5 kg/m² per 1 mm of layer, and the mix is available in grey and white versions so that alternating colours allow visual control of coverage.
KTtron-10 1K contains no solvents or substances hazardous to health and is packed in 20 kg bags or buckets with a shelf life of 12 and 18 months respectively.
