KIM is a high-precision six-axis coordinate measuring machine, with the ability to control parts of an extended range of complexity using six-axis scanning.
It is an official measuring instrument according to ISO standards and is included by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Russian Federation.
The configuration of the opto-mechanical part is the Stewart platform.
The CMM uses its own measurement system. High accuracy and stability is ensured by a six-axis laser-interferometric system, which is not dependent on straight guides and air bearings.
