Vienna (Вена), article 300460, is a jacquard upholstery fabric produced by UZOR OJSC — a Russian textile manufacturer with more than 80 years of history, based in Vyritsa near Gatchina in the Leningrad region. Founded in 1944, the company today operates a modern weaving plant equipped with Swiss Sulzer and French Stäubli jacquard looms alongside Italian Smit machinery, and has maintained ISO 9001 quality certification for many years running.
Its mastery of jacquard weaving traditions earned the enterprise official recognition as a "Folk Artistic Crafts" producer in 1999.
The Vienna fabric is woven entirely from polyester yarns, achieving a surface density of 343 g/m² and a working width of 200 cm. The 100% polyester construction delivers strong resistance to abrasion and consistent colour stability, while the substantial grammage gives the cloth a firm, full-bodied hand well suited to demanding upholstery applications.
The generous 200 cm width allows upholsterers to cover large furniture frames with fewer seams and less material waste. Because the decorative pattern is woven into the fabric structure on precision jacquard looms — rather than printed onto the surface — it retains its appearance indefinitely without cracking or peeling.
UZOR's in-house finishing capability also allows optional treatments such as flame retardancy or anti-static protection to be applied, all confirmed by the relevant state certification bodies.
