Piston - aluminium part of cylindrical shape, making reciprocating motion along the axis of the cylinder and serving to convert the excess pressure of gas, steam or liquid into mechanical work. All pistons are produced by casting in a diecast mould. This ensures the best possible material structure.
Impurities are removed and the mechanical properties of the metal are evenly distributed throughout the entire volume of the part. Aluminium alloys with various alloying additives are used for manufacturing pistons. This is necessary to ensure the required properties for each specific piston model.
To ensure long and trouble-free operation, multi-component aluminium-silicon alloys (silicones) are used in the production of pistons: AK18, AK13 M5 MgN2, AK21 M³N1, AK12 MMgN, AK13 M³MgN2 - 5 alloys, which are alloyed with chromium, magnesium, copper, nickel and other elements to obtain the necessary properties.
