The PSN-20R is a 20-person inflatable throw-overboard rescue raft designed for collective life-saving on river and mixed (river-to-sea) navigation vessels. Manufactured by ISKOZH OJSC (АО "Искож"), an industrial enterprise founded in 1970 and headquartered in Neftekamark, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, the raft is part of a broad portfolio of marine, river, yacht, and aviation life-saving appliances produced at the company's dedicated inflatable goods facility.
The PSN-20R carries certification from the Russian River Register (РРР), confirming compliance with mandatory carriage requirements for passenger and cargo vessels operating on Russian inland waterways and mixed river-sea routes, and is classified under Russian Government Decree 616 as a rescue raft (плот).
In its stored state the raft is packed in a cylindrical container measuring 1,450 mm in length and 600 mm in diameter, with a total mass of 125 kg. Once deployed on the water surface, it inflates to a width of 3,750 mm and a canopy height of 1,700 mm, providing a floor area of 440 dm² and a buoyancy chamber volume of 920 dm³—delivering the positive flotation and sheltered space needed to sustain 20 survivors.
The throw-overboard deployment principle requires no davits or dedicated launching equipment, enabling fast deployment by a small crew under emergency conditions. ISKOZH OJSC operates its own network of certified inflatable life-saving appliance service stations, offering technical maintenance, re-certification, and personnel training to support the raft throughout its service life.
