The THM Series Industrial Gas Heating Furnace is a large-scale natural gas-fired thermal processing furnace designed and manufactured by TKhM Holding (Teplohimmontazh), a Russian industrial group with in-house capabilities spanning refractory materials production, furnace design, automation engineering, and turnkey installation. With a main chamber volume of 76 m³ and a total load capacity of 60,000 kg, the furnace is built for continuous or batch thermal treatment of heavy metal billets, forgings, and structural components in metallurgical and machine-building facilities.
The unit measures 28 m in length, 3.2 m in width, and 5 m in height, reflecting a long-profile geometry suited to pusher or conveyor-type heating lines. Natural gas is used as fuel, with a combustion rate of 400 kg/h.
The burner system integrates equipment from internationally recognised manufacturers including Kromschroder, NOXMAT, Hauck, and WS Wärmeprozesstechnik GmbH. Control architecture is built on PLC platforms — typically SIEMENS, VIPA, or Schneider Electric — with full SCADA workstation capability for process logging and management.
The refractory lining draws on TKhM Holding's own production of high-temperature castables, lightweight refractories, and thermomodules, which significantly reduces thermal mass, improves response during heat-cycling, and cuts standby energy losses compared with traditional heavy-duty brick linings.
