The KKR column-mounted jib crane (factory series KKR3) is a stationary slewing crane built by the Gruzopodyem plant in Kazan for lifting and moving loads of up to 16.0 tonnes. The crane consists of a steel column with a bottom support flange and a jib that rotates around its axis through up to 360 degrees; on manual versions the boom is slewed by a pull line, while lifting and traversing are performed by a manual or electric hoist travelling along the jib.
The crane is bolted to a concrete foundation with anchor bolts, so no crane runways are required, which makes it a practical alternative to overhead cranes in confined work zones and outdoor sites. Each unit is manufactured to order under Technical Regulation TR CU 010/2011, with general-industrial, fire-protected, explosion-proof and special versions available for aggressive media and extreme temperatures; jib reach, lifting height and capacity are fixed in an individual working design.
Gruzopodyem has been producing jib cranes for more than 18 years at a 17,000 m² facility that turns out over 1,000 overhead, jib and gantry cranes annually, operates its own destructive and non-destructive testing laboratories, holds certified welding and NDT technologies, and was ranked among the TOP-5 largest crane plants in Russia based on 2019-2023 results.
