Norions are designed to work as part of the scheme of technological process with a continuous mode of operation both indoors and outdoors. They serve for vertical conveying of grain, its products (flour, groats, bran) and other bulk materials at elevators, grain warehouses, ports, mills, bakeries.
Principle of operation: The product is fed into the elevator shoe through the receiving sock by means of a conveyor, unloader or gravity. In the elevator shoe and head there are drive and tension drums, on which a belt with buckets fixed on it is stretched. The product is transported by the buckets by scooping from the bottom of the shoe or pouring the product into the bucket. Unloading is carried out in the upper part (head) of the elevator through the discharge spigot. By design, elevators are divided into single and double, by type of unloading - into centrifugal - type II (2.2-3.6m/s) and centrifugal-gravity - type I (1.1-1.8m/s).
