The main purpose of the high-frequency barrier (HFB) is to weaken the influence of the shunting action of the busbars of the electrical substation on the line path of the high-frequency channel, when processing overhead power lines (overhead lines) in order to transmit through their phase wires and lightning protection cables (for more details on HF communication over power lines, please see the link) signals of emergency automation, relay protection, digital data, telemechanics and telephone communication at carrier frequencies from 16 kHz to 1000 kHz, as well as to eliminate the shunt effect of branch lines (taps) overhead lines. VChZ is designed for continuous operation outdoors at ambient temperature from minus 50C to plus 50C under the influence of solar radiation, rain, snow, ice and dust, at an altitude of up to 2000 metres above sea level.
