Description

The EcoGrass 40 mm artificial turf covering is manufactured by RUBBERSOL LLC (trade brand EcoStep®), Russia's largest producer of rubber safety surfaces and artificial turf, operating since 2007. Built entirely from 100% polyethylene monofilament fiber with an integrated stiffener rib, each pile stands 40 mm tall and returns to an upright position after load, replicating the resilience of natural grass.

The base linear density is 8,800 dtex — the specification encoded in the commercial designation Grass 40/8.8 — with higher-dtex variants available up to 14,000. Stitch density is 8,820 per m² (±3%), and the 5/8 tufting gauge produces the uniform surface required for consistent ball roll on football and multi-sport fields.

The polyethylene compound is UV-stabilised, so the colour does not bleach under prolonged sun exposure. The covering tolerates temperatures from −50°C to +50°C without losing dimensional stability, making it suitable for outdoor installations across all Russian climate zones.

Rolls are produced in 2 m and 4 m widths, each 40 m long, and can be laid with EcoStep®'s own rubber-crumb, EPDM and quartz-sand infill systems.
