The extruder is designed for extruding cereals, legumes or grain mixtures. The resulting extrudate is used as a component for the preparation of highly nutritious, easily digestible animal feed.
In the process of processing, the grain in the extruder chamber as a result of intensive friction on the working bodies and pressure compression in the chamber is compacted and, moving, heated to a temperature of 100-180 ºC, which contributes to changes in the structural-mechanical and physical-chemical properties of the original grain. Grain through the extruder die is extruded in the form of a cylinder, due to the sharp temperature and pressure difference the process of swelling (extruding) of the grain mass occurs.
In this process pathogenic microorganisms in the grain are destroyed, urea is converted into starch, and in the process of explosion starch is converted into sucrose. The resulting extrudate is 95% digested by the gastric tract of animals, thus ensuring rapid weight gain and increased milk yields.
